About me

Bienvenue sur Color Lounge – Welcome to Color Lounge!

Informations about me

[English below]

ENGLISH
Cédric Riveau
Cédric found himself with a camera in his hands very early on, at the start of the 1980s when he was around 10 years old. It was an Agramatic that he would wind up from left to right thanks to good old wrist power, using it to take pictures of everything around him to fill out the family photo collection pinned up on the walls of their apartment.
Later, in 1987, he moved onto slides during a school trip to Florence with his art teacher. This was his second revelation. The teacher equipped him with a Minolta XG-M and Cédric produced the longest slideshow in his class, completely entranced by this city-museum where he found treasures in every square meter. This is where he learned to raise his head to observe the world around him.
At the start of the 1990s, while taking a photograph of his first truelove, he quickly understood that this was a path he should follow. not only did he love capturing the people around him on film, but the feedback on his photos also encouraged him further in this direction. He joyfully devoted himself to photography during his many trips within Europe.
After Florence, his father gave him his magnificent old Nikon and Cédric would never leave home without it. His playground was the Musée du Louvre – the Cour Napoléon, the Pyramid and its thousands of visitors… He used up kilometers of film on this mythical spot.
In 2001, he arrived in Japan and found himself immersed in a new world to capture. This is where he has been based ever since, drawing a steady flow of photo commissions from both private clients and institutions.
